Deputy Manager – Grinding Application

Core Objective: Calculate accurate production cycle times, establish standard operating times, and optimize grinding parameters to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.

Key Focus: Surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, centerless grinding, and internal grinding operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Cycle Time Estimation: Analyze drawings, 3D models, and GD&T to calculate cutting and non-cutting times.
• Parameter Optimization: Determine wheel speed, workpiece speed, feed rates, spark-out passes, and dressing intervals.
• Non-Cutting Time Analysis: Account for loading/unloading, wheel approach, rapid movements, dressing, and in-process gauging.
• Cost Estimation & Quoting: Provide accurate time and cost estimates for RFQs, prototypes, and mass production.
• Process Troubleshooting & Reduction: Identify bottlenecks and optimize grinding parameters to reduce cycle time.
• Standardization: Maintain time-calculation sheets, formulas, and databases for grinding operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or equivalent technical certification.
• Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of grinding wheels, dressing, MRR, and workpiece materials.
• Software Proficiency: CAD/CAM, ERP/estimating software, and advanced Excel.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to apply formulas for grinding speed, feed, and stock removal.

Salary: 6 Lakhs and above yearly

Pay: ₹600,000.00 per year
