Deputy Manager Procurement

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager Procurement to manage procurement operations, supplier relationships, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, technical understanding, and experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities to ensure the timely availability of materials as per operational requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, and material requirements in coordination with relevant departments.
• Prepare and evaluate quotations, comparative statements, and purchase orders.
• Monitor supplier performance, material quality, and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Stores, Finance, and other departments to fulfill procurement requirements.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation through ERP systems.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, approval procedures, and internal controls.
• Prepare procurement reports, monitor pending orders, and provide updates to management.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline required. A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) will be preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial organization.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier management, and price negotiation.
• Technical understanding of engineering materials, components, and equipment will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP-based procurement systems.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and meet strict deadlines.

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
