Deputy Manager Product Development (NPD)

Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and innovative Development Deputy Manager to join our engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, and improving products from concept to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a passion for developing high-quality, user-focused products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or support the design and development of new products and enhancements to existing products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product development , marketing, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
• Conduct feasibility studies, material selection, prototyping, testing, and validation of product designs.
• Create and maintain design documentation such as CAD models, drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Participate in design reviews and implement feedback to improve product performance and manufacturability.
• Analyse test data, identify root causes of issues, and propose design or process improvements.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Ensure products meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience inproduct development or related engineering roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with prototyping, testing methods, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with automotive specific regulatory standards
• Knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and cost optimization.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in Product Development (this profile is for Development).
