Deputy Program Director

For our client, we are seeking a Deputy Program Director to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will support senior program leadership in managing a complex government contract environment with a strong focus on performance, compliance, and operational execution. The ideal candidate will help drive reporting, risk management, and process improvement while partnering closely with internal teams and stakeholders. Success in this role will require strong program management judgment, a deep understanding of contract requirements, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for leadership.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $216,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Support the Program Director in overall contract lifecycle management
• Develop systems for efficient data collection and reporting
• Compile and analyze program performance metrics
• Prepare and deliver status reports and briefings to leadership
• Identify risks and facilitate resolution strategies
• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with contract requirements
• Evaluate program efficiency and provide insights for strategic planning

Qualifications

• 16 years of relevant experience, with management background preferred
• Deep understanding of operations, including metrics and contract requirements
• Proven experience in investigative development and best practices in administration
• Skills in contract development and business expansion
• Experience managing subcontractors and budgets effectively
• Must be a US citizen
