Deputy Quarry Manager (Granite)

Job Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Deputy Quarry Manager for our granite quarry operations in Tekkali. This role is responsible for executing monthly mining plans, optimizing operational efficiency, and driving maximum block recovery.

The successful candidate will oversee daily site activities, manage workforce supervisors, and maintain strict production and quality benchmarks.

Role & responsibilities

• Mine Planning: Create monthly cutting plans and direct quarry expansion.

• Operations: Assign specific benches and angles to available Mestris.

• Quality & Recovery: Oversee block-making quality to maximize stone recovery.

• Machinery Management: Plan and track heavy equipment deployment for maximum output.

• Buyer Coordination: Schedule block marking and coordinate directly with buyers' markers.

• Reporting: Set monthly production targets, track weekly progress, and present updates on the weekly directors' conference call.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5+ years of experience in open-cast granite quarrying.

• Strong technical knowledge of bench design, wire-sawing, and block recovery.

• Proven ability to manage local Mestris and field labor.

• Clear communication skills (Telugu, Hindi, English Required).
