Post No. POSN005410 - Deputy Team Manager
Package: Full Time (Fixed Term)
Prevention and Inclusion have an exciting opportunity to recruit a deputy team manager who is inspiring, dynamic and able to make positive contributions to transform the lives of the families we work with. You will work within a team who is driven by delivering services that give children the best possible start in life, with our goal being to ensure comprehensive support and development for children in their early years including those in childcare.
This role encompasses various Early Years themes, including but not limited to:
- Programme Planning and Delivery: Supporting the delivery of Funded Childcare and Expansion programmes including sufficiency of childcare places and workforce.
- Childcare Services: Supporting, procuring and developing childcare services.
- Early Years (0 – 7 years): Offer management support for all early year’s services as part of a wider management team.
Reporting into the Team Manager, your role will involve leading and managing a large team and budget monitoring.
You will be required to ensure adherence to statutory regulations and provide quality delivery of services for all children and families but importantly those who are most vulnerable. Effective partnership working is essential for the role, particularly in responding to Welsh Government policy, emerging research and evidence-based practices. In addition, it is crucial to have the ability to successfully transfer these insights into operational delivery. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate they can both understand and present complex data, provide evidence of managing change, and will be experienced in the delivery of high-quality early years services such as early intervention and peer support groups, childcare provision and wider services including health programmes.
