Deputy Technical Program Manager - Data Modernization

For our client, we are seeking a Deputy Technical Program Manager - Data Modernization to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will oversee the execution of a major data modernization effort, balancing technical leadership with disciplined program delivery. You will coordinate stakeholders, align contract performance with strategic objectives, and help drive modernization outcomes across the enterprise. The position will also serve as a key technical authority, ensuring the roadmap, communication flow, and operating approach support effective implementation and compliance.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $128,039 – $173,229 annually

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract execution to align with strategic goals
• Coordinate contract performance and engage stakeholders
• Act as the senior technical authority for modernization activities
• Define technical strategy and modernization roadmap
• Ensure technical compliance with enterprise standards
• Manage communication strategies and report operations
• Supervise team performance and allocate resources

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT management with a focus on data governance and modernization
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with big data cloud architectures and analytics
• Strong customer engagement skills, particularly with senior executives
