Dermatology Medical Assistant

Evergreen Dermatology is looking for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, are detail-oriented, and have strong interpersonal skills. This is because a significant portion of a medical assistant’s job is interacting with patients and assisting doctors who are working with patients. Medical assistants ensure that patients are taken care of and that dermatologists have the help they need while caring for patients. Current schedule will be Monday-Thursday 7:45 am to 5:00 pm.

Job Duties Include:

• Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
• Answering office telephone calls
• Greeting patients
• Updating and maintaining medical records
• Scheduling referral and testing appointments
• General office administration duties
• Obtaining consent forms from patients
• Assisting dermatologists with examinations and procedures
• Guiding patients to the exam room
• Preparing and collecting lab specimens for testing
• Scribing or Documenting physical examination findings in the Electronic Medical Record (Modernizing Medicine- EMA)
• Sanitizing and preparing exam rooms for patients
• Preparing patients for surgical procedures (including Mohs)
• Assisting dermatologists with cosmetic procedures
• Maintain patient confidentiality.

Regular and reliable attendance is required to perform the functions of this position.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
