Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional individual with dermatology and scribing experience to support our medical team. You must have worked with the Modernizing Medicine Electronic Health Records System. This role involves assisting with medical documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting dermatology providers through effective scribing. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical terminology, proficiency with EMR/EHR systems, and excellent writing skills to facilitate precise and comprehensive medical records.

Duties

• Assist dermatologists by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time using EMR/EHR systems.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively to ensure clarity and consistency in documentation.
• Transcribe and draft detailed medical notes, ensuring completeness and adherence to clinical standards.
• Support the provider during patient examinations by capturing relevant clinical information efficiently.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic health records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless communication and record accuracy.
• Perform medical transcription tasks as needed, translating spoken or handwritten notes into formal documentation.
• Ensure all documentation reflects the provider’s observations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.

Requirements

• Prior experience in dermatology scribing or medical documentation within a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dermatology.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for efficient charting and record management.
• Excellent writing skills with attention to detail for accurate medical transcription and documentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations and commitment to confidentiality.
