As a Senior React Native Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining cross-platform applications for iOS and Android.

You will collaborate closely with product, design, UX, and engineering teams to transform complex requirements into intuitive, accessible, and seamless user experiences.

Your work will contribute to application performance, reliability, security, and code quality across the entire development lifecycle.

You will help establish architectural standards, improve automated testing practices, and optimize mobile delivery pipelines.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with Product Design and UX teams to translate complex interfaces, business requirements, and user flows into intuitive, accessible, and seamless mobile experiences.
• Ensure code quality through automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, conducting pull request reviews and maintaining appropriate test coverage.
• Monitor production performance metrics, including application startup time, rendering, memory consumption, and crash rates, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.
• Support mobile CI/CD processes, deployment workflows, version control, and application releases through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
• Apply and promote clean code principles, modular architecture, SOLID principles, and established design patterns throughout the development process.
• Design and maintain reusable components and contribute to shared design systems that improve consistency and development efficiency.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and GraphQL services, implementing secure authentication, error handling, caching, and offline-first capabilities where appropriate.
• Troubleshoot native iOS and Android integration issues, including library linking, permissions, build configurations, and dependency conflicts.
• Contribute to mobile security practices, ensuring secure data storage, authentication, and protection of sensitive information.
• Support and mentor mid-level and junior developers, sharing technical knowledge and helping the team adopt engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to define functional requirements, solve complex problems, and ensure consistent end-to-end product behavior.

Requirements

• Professional experience: Strong hands-on experience developing cross-platform mobile applications with React Native, particularly in medium- to large-scale projects.
• Programming languages: Advanced knowledge of TypeScript, including strict typing and best practices within the React ecosystem.
• State management and caching: Experience with Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query/TanStack Query, Context API, or comparable solutions.
• API integration: Practical experience consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL, handling errors securely, implementing OAuth or JWT authentication, and managing caching or offline-first functionality.
• Native mobile development: Solid understanding of iOS and Android fundamentals, including native library linking, application manifests, permissions, CocoaPods, Gradle, and native dependency conflicts.
• Automated testing: Experience with Jest, React Native Testing Library, and related tools for unit and integration testing.
• Software architecture: Strong understanding of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, design patterns, modular development, and component-based design systems.
• Version control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows such as Gitflow or trunk-based development.
• Technical communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts, collaborate across engineering and business teams, and coordinate with external vendors when needed.
• Problem-solving and autonomy: Strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to take ownership of technical and functional decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Collaboration and mentoring: Excellent teamwork, organization, empathy, and knowledge-sharing skills, with the ability to support the professional development of other engineers.
• End-to-end perspective: Ability to understand how mobile applications interact with backend services and broader financial, accounting, and regulatory systems.

The Following Qualifications Are Considered a Plus

• Experience working in fintech, payments, credit, employee benefits, or other financial technology environments.
• Familiarity with mobile CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, GitHub Actions, and Bitrise.
• Experience creating and maintaining design systems or shared component libraries.
• Knowledge of native development using Swift or Kotlin.
• Experience with native bridges and React Native technologies such as TurboModules, JSI, Fabric, or the New Architecture.
• Knowledge of mobile security practices, including code obfuscation, SSL pinning, secure storage, and biometric authentication.
