  • Support technical discussions with customers, consultants, utilities, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical assessments and vendor evaluations for:
    • Solar modules
    • Inverters
    • Battery Energy Storage Systems
    • Energy Management Systems (EMS)
    • Balance-of-Plant (BoP) equipment

Commissioning & Project Delivery

  • Support commissioning activities for Solar PV, BESS, hybrid energy, and microgrid projects.
  • Develop and review commissioning procedures, testing plans, and functional performance testing documentation.
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, and site teams throughout project delivery and commissioning phases.
  • Participate in:
    • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
    • Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
    • Energisation activities
    • System integration testing
    • Performance verification and project handover
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during construction, commissioning, and operational readiness stages.

Technical Governance

  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian and international standards and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to engineering governance, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain technical documentation, engineering records, and lessons-learned databases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience within renewable energy, power systems, or utility-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience delivering utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
  • Demonstrated involvement across engineering design, construction support, commissioning, energisation, and project handover.
  • Strong understanding of power systems, grid-connected renewable energy assets, and electrical balance-of-plant systems.

Essential Experience

Candidates should demonstrate experience in:

  • Utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Utility-scale Solar PV plant design and engineering
  • Commissioning, testing, and energisation of renewable energy assets
