Design and Development Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Design and Development Specialist to lead product development trials, review material innovations, and ensure product quality and compliance. This role involves managing multiple projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing cost-saving initiatives from development through production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Development & Trials: Responsible for conducting and reviewing product development trials and updates.
• Material Innovation: Review reports on alternative and newly developed materials for product application and cost savings.
• Technical Documentation: Provide Safety Data Sheets, certifications, and other technical documentation for approved products.
• Benchmarking & Validation: Review comparative evaluations of competitors’ products and validate initial pilot runs for new products to set production parameters.
• Problem Solving: Participate in root cause analysis for non-conforming products during production.
• Training & Compliance: Conduct internal seminars, review technical documents for product registration, and ensure safety, housekeeping, health, and environmental standards are implemented.
• Project Management & Collaboration: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work closely with Packaging, Production, Marketing, and Purchasing Departments.
• Cost Savings & Audit: Review and implement cost-saving initiatives and address audit findings with corrective actions.
• Stability Studies: Review and conduct stability studies of developed products.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant fields.
• License: Licensed Chemist or Licensed Chemical Technician is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication skills and project management skills.
