Design & Technical Services Manager

As Design & Technical Services Manager, you will support property owners throughout the full design-to-construction lifecycle of resort projects, with a core focus on brand compliance, operational functionality and delivery quality. You will guide multi-disciplinary designers, contractors and other consultants to deliver resort offerings aligned with Club Med brand identity, supporting the Group’s global business growth.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-end design governance: Lead the full lifecycle delivery of multi-disciplinary design projects, guiding owners, designers, consultants and project teams to ensure resort design is consistent with Club Med brand strategy and resort positioning, while balancing standardization and high-end customization.
• Brand standards and compliance management: Act as the design function representative to review design proposals, construction drawings and material samples, ensuring compliance with brand standards, fire and life safety codes, applicable laws and regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Design review and stakeholder presentation: Present design proposals for review to internal Design Committee members and owner teams, aligning feedback and ensuring approved directions are reflected in project execution.
• Cost and operational efficiency optimization: Collaborate with Product & Services, Engineering Maintenance and Operations teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective design solutions that balance guest experience, construction expenditure and long-term maintenance requirements.
• Design innovation and standard evolution: Participate in new product development and the roll-out of regional design standards, sharing learnings from brand and project developments and supporting product innovation across product lines.
• Team and cross-functional collaboration: Support the department lead and liaise with Development, Product, Operations and other cross-functional teams to align on brand positioning and optimize spatial functionality.
• Industry representation and process improvement: Represent Club Med Design & Technical Services at industry conferences and exhibitions, monitor business workflows, propose improvement recommendations and implement approved optimization initiatives to evolve the technical service framework.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Interior Design, Architecture or related disciplines; professional design qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in interior design or technical services, ideally within premium hotel or resort projects from design to opening.
• Strong expertise in hospitality / resort interior design, FF&E governance, design standards and international hotel design codes.
• Solid commercial sense, project management capability and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance brand, owner expectations, cost and operational needs.
• Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively across owners, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Well organized, resilient and open to new technologies and AI tools; fluent English is required for formal presentation and cross-regional communication.
