Design Architect

About the role

Develop architectural concepts and translate them into coordinated, detailed construction drawings for both new buildings and renovation projects. Create interior architectural designs and detailing, applying principles of space planning, finishes, material selection, lighting, acoustics, and identity creation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents, shop drawings, and system details for steel and light gauge framing construction, ensuring constructability and design intent
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, remote offices, consultants, and suppliers to ensure alignment on design, documentation, and project progress
• Prepare preliminary estimates in the planning stage, as well as detailed architectural cost estimates and material take-offs for budget and procurement purposes
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding material specifications, pricing, availability, and technical requirements
• Assist in resolving design and technical issues during construction and provide clarifications as needed
• Participate in project meetings and offer technical and design support throughout project execution
• Ensure all design outputs comply with local building codes, standards, and best practices

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture; PRC Licensed with at least 3 years of licensure
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in residential and commercial design, including renovations and interior architecture
• Proven expertise in architectural interiors, with strong understanding of space planning, human ergonomics, materials, lighting, and acoustics
• Demonstrated knowledge of steel and light gauge steel framing systems, including construction detailing and shop drawings
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, with ability to produce detailed, coordinated construction drawings
• Capable of reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications
• Skilled in preparing accurate cost estimates and material take-offs for architectural projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, suppliers, contractors, and clients
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects or priorities simultaneously
