About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Architect to join our design team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in architectural design and building projects, with the ability to develop and coordinate projects from concept through detailed design and construction documentation.

The candidate should have strong design skills, technical knowledge, and experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, schematic designs, detailed designs, and construction documentation for building projects.
• Prepare high-quality architectural drawings, layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Develop design solutions that meet project requirements, client expectations, applicable codes, and authority regulations.
• Coordinate architectural designs with Structural, MEP, Civil, Landscape, and other disciplines.
• Review and coordinate architectural drawings with engineering services to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Prepare and review architectural design packages for submission and approval.
• Develop and maintain architectural design standards, details, and documentation.
• Review project requirements, design briefs, specifications, and applicable authority regulations.
• Conduct site visits and inspections where required and provide architectural recommendations.
• Review existing buildings and develop architectural solutions for renovation, refurbishment, maintenance, alteration, and modification works.
• Coordinate architectural requirements for building upgrades, extensions, and refurbishment projects.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, and technical submittals related to architectural works.
• Respond to RFIs, technical queries, and design-related issues during project execution.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide technical presentations when required.
• Ensure design deliverables are completed within project schedules and required quality standards.
• Assist in preparing project specifications, design reports, schedules, and other technical documentation.
• Review drawings prepared by junior architects and provide technical and design guidance.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with applicable Saudi Building Code (SBC), local authority requirements, international standards, and project specifications.
• Support the team in maintaining design quality, consistency, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• 8–12+ years of relevant architectural design experience.
• Strong experience in building design projects.
• Proven experience in concept design, detailed design, and construction documentation.
• Strong knowledge of architectural planning, building systems, materials, and construction methods.
• Experience coordinating with structural and MEP disciplines.
• Experience with renovation, refurbishment, maintenance, or modification projects will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Saudi Building Code and Saudi authority requirements is preferred.
• Strong understanding of architectural detailing and construction documentation.
• Ability to independently manage architectural design deliverables.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience working with engineering consultants or design consultancies is preferred.
• Candidates available for immediate joining are strongly preferred.

Software Skills

Proficiency in relevant architectural design software, including:

• AutoCAD
• Revit Architecture
• SketchUp
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe InDesign / Illustrator – added advantage
• BIM knowledge and experience will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a creative and technically strong Design Architect with solid experience in building projects and the ability to translate design concepts into coordinated, technically sound, and constructible architectural solutions.

Candidates with experience in Saudi Arabia / GCC projects, multidisciplinary coordination, and building maintenance or refurbishment projects will be preferred.
