Role Description The Design Architect will work on-site in Georgetown in a full-time capacity, contributing to concept development, schematic design, and detailed design for a variety of architectural projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing design proposals, developing construction drawings, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves participating in design reviews, incorporating feedback from project stakeholders, and aligning designs with regulatory requirements and project budgets. The Design Architect will collaborate closely with team members, communicate design ideas clearly, and support design management activities to deliver projects on schedule and to the firm’s quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development and spatial planning.
• Experience in Design Management, coordinating design processes and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
• Effective Communication skills for presenting design ideas, engaging with clients, and working with project stakeholders.
• Relevant academic qualification in Architecture or a related field, with professional registration or progress toward registration considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent).
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced studio environment.
• Understanding of local building regulations, sustainable design principles, and current architectural trends.
