Flare Consulting is hiring a Design Architect to act as technical authority. You will own architecture governance, lead design reviews and serve as the senior escalation point across engineering teams.

What you’ll do

Chair Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR/CDR), and review and approve solution designs against operational, security and customer requirements

Validate Method of Procedures (MOPs) before implementation

Run proof-of-concepts and solution demos for customers and stakeholders

Act as Level 3 escalation for complex incidents, driving root cause analysis and corrective action

Assess firmware updates, bug reports, security advisories and vulnerability findings, and recommend remediation

Provide technical oversight across planning, design, implementation and transition of medium to large projects

Mentor engineers and uphold technical standards across the team

What you’ll bring

Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field

4–6 years in technical design, architecture, system integration or infrastructure engineering

Hands-on knowledge of networking (Cisco / Alcatel-Lucent) and firewalls (Check Point / Palo Alto / Fortinet)

Broad infrastructure exposure: servers, storage, virtualisation or cloud, and backup

Experience in vulnerability assessment and remediation

Background in large enterprise or defence environments; SI experience preferred

Relevant certifications in architecture, networking, security, cloud or infrastructure

Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills, and comfortable deciding independently.
