Design Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to join our engineering consultancy team in Doha. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering design activities and ensure that design deliverables are technically coordinated, accurate, and completed within project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate design activities between highway, drainage, utilities, traffic, road safety, geotechnical, survey, BIM and CAD teams.
• Coordinate interfaces between different engineering disciplines and identify design conflicts.
• Organize and lead design coordination meetings.
• Track design actions, comments, revisions and deliverables.
• Review engineering drawings, reports and technical submissions.
• Coordinate responses to client and authority comments.
• Monitor design progress against project programmes.
• Coordinate design changes and revisions.
• Liaise with engineers, BIM coordinators, CAD technicians and project managers.
• Support preparation of tender, detailed design and construction documentation.
• Ensure design deliverables comply with applicable Qatar standards, specifications and client requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in engineering consultancy.
• Experience in multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Strong design coordination and technical review experience.
• Qatar/GCC experience is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and familiarity with BIM coordination.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Preferred

• Experience with major roads and infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with Qatar authority requirements.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary consultancy teams.
