Lawless Upholstery & Furnishings is a custom upholstery and furnishings workroom in Concord, Massachusetts, and we're growing!

We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and personable Design Coordinator to join our team! This role focuses on managing our larger residential design and commercial projects, coordinating everything from initial estimates to scheduling, client communication, project management, and everything in between.

You'll work closely with interior designers, vendors, and our workroom team to keep projects organized, on track, and everyone informed of what's next. If you're a natural problem-solver who loves juggling details, keeping things moving, and seeing complex projects through from start to finish, we'd love to meet you!

What You'll Do

You'll play an important role in managing the details that turn our clients' ideas into finished projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating residential design and commercial projects from initial inquiry through completion
• Preparing estimates, proposals, and invoices
• Tracking fabric and material orders, project timelines, and production schedules
• Communicating with clients, interior designers, vendors, and our workroom team
• Maintaining accurate project records, following up on outstanding details, and keeping everyone informed of next steps
• Coordinating deliveries and installations to ensure projects run smoothly through completion
• Providing thoughtful, attentive customer service throughout the process

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys keeping things organized, solving problems, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

You'll be a great fit if you:

• Have a proven track record in project management, coordination, and customer service
• Are exceptionally organized and comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines
• Communicate clearly, professionally, and warmly
• Are detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers, measurements, and specifications
• Take initiative, follow through, and enjoy finding solutions
• Are comfortable learning new software and systems
• Have a genuine interest in interior design, furnishings, or the creative process

Experience in the design industry is welcome, but not required! We're happy to teach the right person the specifics of our industry. What matters most is strong organizational skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to take ownership of projects and see them through to completion.
