What they need
Key Responsibilities
* Convert customer drawings (2D/3D) into production and nesting-ready DXF/flat patterns using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
* Check and finalize bending feasibility flange lengths, K-factor/bend allowance, tool clearance, die selection
* Apply knowledge of sheet metal hardware (clinch nuts, rivets, studs, standoffs) in finalisedesign and BOM preparation
* Prepare and issue nesting layouts to the laser cutting department for optimal material utilization
* Design and detail welding fixtures and jigs
* Liaise directly with customers for drawing clarifications, design feedback, and approvals
* Coordinate with production for smooth handoff from design to laser, bending, and welding stages
* Conduct basic QC checks on parts/assemblies against drawings and tolerances
* Maintain drawing revisions, BOMs, and technical documentation
