Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to design, plan, and execute heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The candidate will ensure efficient, sustainable, and code-compliant HVAC solutions aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed HVAC designs, drawings, and system layouts.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and energy regulations.
• Perform heat load calculations, ventilation analysis, and system sizing.
• Review and approve shop drawings and vendor submissions.
• Provide technical support during project execution and installation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.

HVAC-Specific Responsibilities:

• Design air conditioning, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
• Perform cooling and heating load calculations using standard methods (e.g., CLTD/RTS).
• Select HVAC equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, cooling towers, and pumps.
• Design ducting layouts, piping systems, and insulation specifications.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and technical specifications.
• Ensure energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC system design.
• Coordinate HVAC systems with electrical, plumbing, and fire protection services.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in design (depending on role level).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC design tools
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and local codes.
