Design Engineer

Toyota Mobility Solutions Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Product Design Engineer to support the development, design, and implementation of vehicle conversion and accessory projects under the Value Chain Business. The role is responsible for product conceptualization, supplier coordination, project development, and ensuring the quality and innovation of conversion solutions for Toyota commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and support electrical and product design for vehicle conversion projects.
• Implement conversion projects from conceptualization up to launch.
• Conduct supplier sourcing activities and coordinate awarding processes.
• Manage and monitor conversion and accessory development projects.
• Coordinate with suppliers, government agencies, Toyota dealers, and customers regarding project requirements and implementation.
• Develop guidelines, standards, feasibility studies, and research analyses for conversion projects.
• Utilize data analytics, online tools, and market research in project development and policy planning.
• Ensure quality standards of conversion and accessory products during the development stage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and customer-focused mobility solutions.
• Support team growth and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), or related field.
• Open to fresh graduates; experience in automotive product development is an advantage.
• 1–2 years of experience in the automotive industry or product development is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Must have a non-professional driver’s license (MT & AT).
• Passion for vehicles, mobility trends, and automotive innovation.

Relevant Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent design software.
• Knowledge in electrical diagram creation and technical design tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
• Ability to generate innovative solutions and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
