Design Engineer

The role

You own frontend development at Paires. Design matters a lot to us, and you will not carry it alone: we have an exceptional designer on the team, and you work closely with them while bringing your own taste to the table. The frontend itself has one owner - you. Not a group of engineers taking turns on it. You build the founder-facing product, the internal platform, and soon an investor-facing portal: data-dense screens founders trust with sensitive information. And when a feature needs more than frontend work to come to life, you have the full-stack range to take it all the way. You work inside a tightly knit senior team and report directly to the co-founders.

What you will own

• Production UI in Next.js and React. The frontend is yours.
• The founder journey and the investor portal, with the polish that makes them feel premium.
• Full-stack work where a feature needs it, from backend to shipped screen.
• Design decisions made together with our designer, and the craft details most teams skip.

You are a fit if you

• Ship production React and Next.js used by real users, and know Tailwind and Supabase on the front end.
• Build what you design without a handoff: real taste, strong opinions about craft, and the engineering to ship it yourself.
