Design Engineer

Open Specializations:

• Chassis Design Ladder frame, cross members, suspension mounting structures, with understanding of Forging, Sheet Metal Forming, and Die Casting processes
• Sheet Metal Design – Part modeling, drafting, and sheet metal component design for automotive applications
• BIW (Body-in-White) Design – Vehicle body structure and panel design
• BIW Doors – Door systems, latch mechanisms, and closure design
• Plastic Product Design – Automotive plastic component design and development
• Overall Vehicle Design – Vehicle-level packaging, integration, and system design

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop components/systems within your area of specialization using UG NX
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure manufacturability
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, and BOMs per industry standards (GD&T, ASME/ISO)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, production) for design validation
• Support prototyping, design iterations, and ECN/ECR processes as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in one of the above specializations
• Proficiency in UG NX — mandatory
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field
• Strong understanding of GD&T, DFM/DFA principles
• Prior automotive industry experience preferred
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
