Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and draw 3D conceptual design for product design to meet design for manufacturing (DFM) and customer requirements.
2. Plan and draw 2D drawings for components and assembly of product design to meet design for manufacturing (DFM), Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T), Autoliv Standards, customer requirements and regulations.
3. Plan and conduct design review with Cross Functional Team (CFT) to ensure design details are meeting all requirements and can be manufactured and assembled.
4. Plan and manage test samples for Concept, Design & Product Validation (CV, DV & PV) tests for product development according to project timeline.
5. Plan and prepare design documents (DGD, DVR&R, Test Matrix, DFMEA, SC & CC List) and Engineering Change Notice (ECN).
6. Analyze and benchmark competitors' modules and make benchmark database for reference.
7. Develop competency in areas of technology identified in the company's technology map
8. Continuous improvement to reduce cost and increase in product quality
9. Evaluate and review VAVE ideas as continuous improvement to reduce cost and increase in product quality.
10. Participate in investigate and troubleshooting for various processes and quality problems.
11. Participate in AS7 Change Management CFT Meeting to review on changes and recommend tests required
12. Update drawings according to AS7 Change Management and decision from Change Control Board (CCB)
13. Participate in part review from replacement tools. Plan and conduct part validation tests according to requirements in drawing and customer.
14. Participate in administration works to achieve department’s and Company’s KPI.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Automotive
• Registered with BEM
• Software: Good in CATIA V5 and MS Office.
• Good knowledge in DFMEA, GD&T, Design for assembly, Tolerance study and stack-up tolerance
