Design Engineer

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for collecting project-related process data, design specifications, safety and occupational health standards, and other technical documents;
• Prepare project material and energy balance calculations and design process flow schemes;
• Complete equipment selection and prepare design drawings such as P&ID diagrams, non-standard equipment condition drawings, and equipment layout drawings;
• Provide project equipment data sheets and material lists, and support the completion of electrical, instrumentation, and civil engineering design work;
• Prepare project-related design proposals;
• Assist the department manager in completing design reviews among various disciplines and departments;
• Participate in project design and process safety assessments;
• Complete project preparation work, evaluate compliance with assessment requirements and national regulations, and coordinate the completion of preliminary design;
• Participate in drawing reviews and examine relevant drawings;
• Assist in preparing project acceptance documents and project cost budgets;
• Improve and archive P&ID drawings based on HAZOP and PSSR results.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above;
• Major in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related fields;
• Candidates with more than 1 year of process design experience are preferred;
• Proficient in using CAD software.
