Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in AutoCAD 2D drafting and Creo 3D modelling. The candidate should have strong technical drawing interpretation skills and the ability to understand and develop designs as per engineering specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
• Develop 3D models, assemblies and components using Creo.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, dimensions and tolerances accurately.
• Modify and update existing drawings and 3D models based on design changes.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with required engineering standards, specifications and design guidelines.
• Coordinate with production, manufacturing and other engineering teams for design-related requirements.
• Review drawings for accuracy, feasibility, dimensions and manufacturability.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control of drawings and design files.
• Support prototype development and resolve design-related issues during manufacturing.
• Work closely with senior engineers and production teams to ensure smooth execution of designs.

Required Skills

• AutoCAD 2D – Mandatory
• Creo 3D Modelling – Mandatory
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good understanding of dimensions, tolerances and basic engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication processes will be an added advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in design engineering/drafting.
• Hands-on experience in AutoCAD 2D and Creo 3D.
• Candidates from a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or industrial equipment background will be preferred.
