Design Engineer

Position: Design Engineer

We are looking for an engineer to join the Stratos design team. Stratos Aircraft is developing a Very Light Jet, the Stratos 716. See www.stratosaircraft.com. for more details about the company.

You will be working on the design of various aircraft systems using SolidWorks CAD and Enterprise product data management software. We are a small, passionate team who are excited to be developing a new aircraft. This is a great opportunity to join a challenging and rewarding project. We are looking for an energetic person who will work well in a fast-paced environment. Relevant experience is great, but a superb attitude is required. This position requires consistent high-quality work and attention to detail. You must have a strong work ethic, be reliable, and be self-motivated. We will offer additional training in both SolidWorks and EPDM as needed. Senior engineers will work with you and provide design guidance.

Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ SolidWorks experience.

Must have good understanding of parts and assembly modeling.

Must exhibit a good understanding of drafting and tolerancing.

5 years of experience with Windows operating systems.

Good typing skills; 40+ words per minute.

Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, when needed.

3 good references.

Must be excited about designing airplanes!

Proof of US citizenship or permanent residency.

Compensation: We will offer the candidate a competitive wage based on experience. We offer competitive PTO (Personal Time Off) and five paid public holidays.

This is a full-time hourly position.

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
