Design Engineer

Emcor Enclosures is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our growing team in Rochester, Minnesota! As a Design Engineer, you'll work in the growing field of enclosures for uses such as datacenters and defense. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of new electrical enclosures and 19" server racks. You will work closely with customers, sales, and manufacturing to ensure projects meet all specifications and are delivered on time and within budget. This includes contributing to the success of our industry-leading catalog products as well as custom designs.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed mechanical design drawings using CREO CAD software.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of bills of materials (BOMs).
• Learn and apply engineering principles to ensure structural integrity and thermal management of designs.
• Participate in prototype creation and review processes.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and sales teams as needed.
• Stay up-to-date on sheet metal fabrication techniques and industry standards.
• Design and develop new electrical cabinets and 19" server racks based on customer requirements and industry standards.
• Perform calculations to ensure structural integrity and heat dissipation of designs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) is a plus.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
