About the role

To analyze the engineering specifications to design and develop the detailed models, specialized tooling (Jigs & Fixtures) and functional testing systems for First Article Inspection (FAI) components; while managing engineering changes to ensure precision and compliance with customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings
• Interpret the customer-specific technical requirements
• Design the most accurate 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks
• Design the efficient and robust Jigs and Fixtures using SolidWorks to optimize production line activities
• Develop, validate, and prove out the functional test equipment
• Establish detailed manufacturing process plans and engineering routing sequences
• Execute the Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and manage the revision tracker

About you

• Diploma in Engineering or Under Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical / Aerospace)
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings & customer specific requirements
• Technical problem-solving and analytical skills to solve the problems in production lines
• Good knowledge in material properties and processing
• Proficient in SolidWorks (Mechanical design & drafting)
• Strong knowledge in GD&T
• Good knowledge in instrument & gauge planning
• Good knowledge in SAP
• Basic knowledge in AutoCAD
