Design Engineer

About the role

Design precast steel moulds according to design standards and convert them into fabrication drawings. Issue design drawings to subcontractors or production teams, discuss design feasibility, and coordinate with clients on design requirements and changes. Conduct research and development on mould designs to improve overall performance and help establish design standards for steel moulds while maintaining records for future development.

Key responsibilities

• Design precast steel moulds according to design standards and convert into fabrication drawings
• Issue design drawings to subcontractors or production team and discuss design feasibility
• Coordinate with clients for design requirements and any design changes
• Conduct R&D on mould designs to improve overall performance
• Help build design standards for steel moulds and maintain records for future development

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
• Proficiency in Tekla, AutoCAD, Solidworks and Microsoft Office Applications
• Capable of working collaboratively in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare engineering drawings and design calculations
