Design Engineer

• VPrepare and modify 2D and 3D mechanical designs for sheet metal and fabrication components.
• Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Develop sheet metal parts, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and maintain proper drawing documentation.
• Understand sheet metal fabrication processes such as laser cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
• Coordinate with the Production, PPC, Quality, and Purchase teams for design and manufacturing requirements.
• Review drawings and ensure dimensions, tolerances, materials, and specifications are correct.
• Modify designs based on production requirements and customer feedback.
• Support the development of new products and improve existing designs for manufacturability.
• Ensure drawings are released and maintained as per company procedures.
• Identify and resolve design-related issues during production.

Required Skills-

• AutoCAD – Mandatory
• SolidWorks – Mandatory
• Good knowledge of Sheet Metal Design
• Knowledge of BOM preparation
• Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes
• Understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams
