Design Engineer- Electrical

• Create, draft, and design layouts and schemes using customer specifications and recommendations for power systems (generation, transmission, and distribution of power).
• Attend kick-off meetings and conduct project field surveys as required.
• Conduct research studies and reviews to assess the feasibility of designs.
• Generate drawings (conceptual, single-line, 3D, etc.) using power system design applications and/or software.
• Prepare material take-offs from drawings and cost estimates, including technical bid evaluations, working with vendors and company engineering specialists, and witnessing acceptance tests at vendor shops.
• Conduct Fault Analysis, Short Circuit, Load Flow, Illumination Calculation, and other electrical engineering calculations as required by the design.
• Evaluate power systems by designing and conducting research, and applying principles and standards of engineering design to create layouts and schemes that meet required specifications.
• Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility studies and testing methods, testing properties, supervising the testing of finished products when necessary, and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
• Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and providing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Align electrical layouts with mechanical, structural, and civil engineering teams to ensure spatial and functional compatibility.
• Handle administrative tasks such as managing budgets, materials, and design specifications; resolving technical design problems; testing; documentation; and reviewing supplier manuals, brochures, and catalogues.

Qualifications and Job Specifications

• Education: Diploma in Engineering - BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering).
• License: Must possess a PRC License.
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in Power System Design.
• Technical Skills: Knowledgeable in CAD, MS Office (or equivalent), and relevant design software programs.
