Design Engineer-Experienced

Key Responsibilities

• Establish assembly and detail requirements for boiler and environmental equipment in accordance with customer requirements and company standards.

• Produce design, erection arrangement, assembly, and detail drawings as required to support contracts and proposals.

• Coordinate technical design activities with engineering and project/proposal management to support timely information flow and completion of all phases of work.

• Perform standard calculations in accordance with company standards.

• Ensure drawings comply with proposal or contract specifications and applicable standards, including checks for interferences with B&W and customer-supplied equipment.

• Verify drawing accuracy for dimensions, fits, tolerances, and equipment interfaces.

• Respond to customer questions and support resolution of technical clarifications related to detailing deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Engineering diploma with 8+ years of experience, or graduate engineer with 5+ years of experience in mechanical or civil engineering.

• CAD training is required.

• SolidWorks experience is required; AutoCAD experience is an added advantage. Experience with other 2D or 3D CAD packages is also preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities
The TD-Boiler Arrangements-Detailing role is responsible for preparing accurate 2D and 3D arrangement, assembly, erection, and detail drawings/models for B&W boiler and environmental products. The scope includes flues and ducts, scrubbers, baghouses, precipitators, piping, pipe supports, and associated equipment. The role supports contracts and proposals by ensuring deliverables meet customer requirements, company standards, applicable specifications, and project timelines.
