Design Engineer- fabrication

Key Responsibility

• Develop 2D and 3D designs for fabricated structures, assemblies, components, and sub-assemblies.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, manufacturing drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Develop BOMs, part lists, material specifications, and cutting details.
• Understand customer requirements, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Perform design calculations related to dimensions, material selection, load requirements, and structural strength as applicable.
• Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, fabrication, welding, assembly, and serviceability.
• Select appropriate materials, sections, plates, profiles, fasteners, and other fabrication components.
• Incorporate GD&T, tolerances, welding symbols, surface finish, and other drawing requirements wherever applicable.
• Coordinate with Production and Fabrication teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
• Review existing designs and identify opportunities for design optimization, weight reduction, cost reduction, and process improvement.
• Modify designs based on customer feedback, engineering changes, production requirements, and quality observations.
• Support prototype development and conduct design validation through trials and testing.
• Prepare and maintain Engineering Change Notes (ECN), revision records, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with Procurement for material/component specifications and technical requirements.
• Ensure drawings and designs comply with applicable engineering standards, customer specifications, and company procedures.
• Provide technical support to Production and Quality teams during fabrication and assembly.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions related to design or manufacturing issues.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
