Design Engineer – Firefighting Systems

• Develop detailed design drawings and calculations for fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, and fire pumps according to NFPA, local codes, and project specifications.
• Conduct hydraulic calculations to ensure adequate water supply and pressure for fire suppression across various building types and occupancies.
• Select and specify appropriate firefighting equipment, including sprinklers, nozzles, valves, and fire hydrants, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate fire protection system designs with architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) disciplines to ensure seamless integration.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in designing fire suppression and alarm systems.
