Design Engineer ( Geotechnical / Piling)

DESIGN ENGINEER (GEOTECHNICAL / PILING)

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Perform geotechnical analysis and design for piling solutions (driven, bored, micro piles).

* Interpret site investigation reports and recommend suitable foundation types and depths.

* Develop and review calculations and drawings in line with codes, standards and project specifications.

* Use geotechnical software (PLAXIS, Geo5, WALLAP) for analysis and soil-structure interaction modelling.

* Collaborate with project teams and clients to resolve design challenges.

* Prepare technical reports, method statements and documentation.

* Assess and mitigate geotechnical risks (settlement, stability, constructability).

* Provide on-site technical support during piling works and ensure compliance.

* Contribute to value engineering with innovative and cost-effective solutions.

* Stay updated on the latest geotechnical and piling technologies and best practices.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

* Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical).

* PE license or equivalent international certification (preferred).

* 5–7 years’ experience in geotechnical design with piling focus.

* Proficient in PLAXIS, Geo5 or similar software.

* Knowledge of international & local codes and standards.

* Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering and pile design.

* Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple projects.

* Familiarity with construction methods and site supervision for piling works.

* UAE experience is a must
