What they need

We're looking for a Design Engineer specialized in hydraulic and thermal installations who wants to be part of a team that builds projects with real impact. You'll join a leading engineering company in Bucharest, part of an international group involved in major infrastructure and industrial developments across Europe.

In this role, you'll work on the design and engineering of complex installations for large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects. You'll be involved in the design of hydraulic, pneumatic and thermal installations — water systems, compressed air systems, thermal plants, basins and tanks — contributing to the development of layouts and technical solutions, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and using modern digital tools to bring projects from concept to execution.

This is an on-site role , and the office is conveniently located just 5 minutes from Pipera metro station , offering easy access and a modern working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop general and detailed design drawings for ongoing works.
  • Review and correct the drawings produced, ensuring technical accuracy and quality.
  • Calculate and design the core elements of a project, starting from the technical documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment lists.
  • Build and manage a technical database capturing the elements of completed works.
  • Record documents and ensure their traceability.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar design/engineering role, with hands-on experience in the design of installations — such as hydraulic/water installations, pneumatic/compressed air installations, thermal plants, or basins and tanks.
  • Higher technical education (a specialization in Hydrotechnics / Building Services / Polytechnic is an advantage).
  • Solid AutoCAD 2D skills and 3D modelling experience — Revit.
  • Operational English – written and spoken (French is an additional advantage).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A keen eye for detail, initiative, and a dynamic, proactive approach.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.

Why join the team

  • Be part of major infrastructure and industrial projects with real, lasting impact across Europe.
  • Work within a leading engineering company backed by an international group.
  • Broad technical exposure – water treatment, civil works, hydraulics, energy, and automation.
  • A collaborative, innovation-driven environment with modern digital design tools.
