  • Conduct complex engineering analyses and calculations for grading, drainage, stormwater management, and earthwork.
  • Prepare design deliverables including construction plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Maintain proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and discipline-specific tools.
  • Research and apply applicable codes, standards, and regulations (including ADA, PROWAG, and DEQ compliance).
  • Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance, budget, and schedule adherence.
  • Conduct occasional field visits, observations, and construction inspections.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program (required).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil site design and land development.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; working towards PE license preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, utilities, and roadway design.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and permitting processes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and use computer equipment for extended periods.
  • Occasional travel to project sites, including outdoor environments and construction areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
