Infotainment System Design Engineer – Job Description

1. Lead design and development of vehicle infotainment components including Head Unit, Instrument Cluster (Meter), Telematics Control Unit (TCU), Displays, Amplifiers, Speakers, Switches, and Wireless Chargers using Catia V5/V6
2. Co Ordinate with Styling Team to refine design data to provide feasible solution.
3. Manage component requirements from concept through production, ensuring compliance with customer, vehicle, regulatory, and functional requirements.
4. Coordinate with suppliers for component design, development, validation, cost optimization, and issue resolution.
5. Develop and release engineering specifications , 2D/3D drawings, DFMEA, DVP&R, and technical documentation.
6. Support vehicle packaging and integration , ensuring proper fitment, mounting, wiring, thermal performance, and vehicle interface compatibility.
7. Lead design reviews and engineering change management , including evaluation and implementation of design improvements.
8. Conduct validation and testing activities , including functional, environmental, EMC/EMI, reliability, and vehicle-level testing.
9. Investigate and resolve quality issues identified during development, manufacturing, launch, and field operation using root cause analysis methodologies.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Electrical, Software, HMI, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Program Management to achieve project milestones.
11. Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables , ensuring infotainment systems meet performance, quality, cost, and launch targets.
