Design Engineer (Mechanical)

Experience: 3–6 Years
Location: Coimbatore
Department: Research & Development (R&D) / New Product Development (NPD)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new mechanical products and machine assemblies.
• Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and assembly drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Design sheet metal, fabricated, welded, and machined components.
• Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and engineering documentation.
• Perform design calculations and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Coordinate with production, purchase, quality, and service teams during product development.
• Participate in prototype development, testing, and product validation.
• Improve existing products by reducing cost and enhancing performance.
• Support production in resolving design-related issues.
• Ensure timely completion of design projects while maintaining quality standards.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and 3D CAD modeling.
• Experience in machine design, fabrication, and mechanical assemblies.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, GD&T, tolerances, and material selection.
• Knowledge of sheet metal, welding, machining, and casting processes.
• Ability to prepare detailed manufacturing drawings and BOM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
