What they need
- Structural Design & Analysis: Design reinforced and pre-stressed concrete or steel structures for platforms, concourses, and roof canopies, ensuring they withstand dead, live, wind, and seismic loads.
- Viaduct & System Interface: Coordinate load paths, geometry, and expansion/movement joints where the station structure straddles or connects to the running viaduct.
- Passenger Flow & Layout Planning: Size entrance capacities, staircases, escalators, lifts, and fare-gate queuing areas based on peak passenger arrival and departure surges.
- Fire Safety & Egress Design: Plan escape routes, smoke-control systems at platform levels, and direct discharge pathways to ground level within mandated evacuation time frames.
- MEPF & Systems Coordination: Integrate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire (MEPF) services, plant rooms, and vertical transportation equipment into tight structural footprints.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet local transit authority guidelines, national building codes, and safety standards
