Design Engineer (Structure)

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited (“the Company” or “China State Hong Kong”) started its construction business in Hong Kong in 1979. The Company engages in building construction and civil engineering works. China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”.

Responsibilities：

• Work with a team of engineers, designers and coordinators
• Act as the key point of contact with project teams on design deliverables
• Assist in preparation of drawings / sketches / reports within ABWF Design Team
• Review drawings and coordinate with other disciplines such as Architectural and building services
• Address and resolve design queries, raise Request for Information (RFI)
• Support in review of shop drawings by sub‑contractors
• Review and support temporary works designs
• Liaise with Construction team on design, interface and constructability aspects and where appropriate
• Utilize and support design management tools for tracking, reporting, and monitoring the progress and delivery of design packages
• Collaborate with stakeholders to complete engineering design reviews and enhance efficiency

Requirements：

• Degree holder in Structural / Civil Engineering
• At least 3 years' relevant experience in hospital / building project
• Knowledge and Experience of temporary works design
• Proficient in Revit and other BIM software
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
