Job Description

BAICO Aluminum Systems is looking for experienced Design Engineers to prepare technical designs and fabrication drawings for aluminum windows, doors, and curtain wall systems. The role involves developing accurate, practical solutions that meet project specifications and coordinating with production and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, sections, and installation details.
• Review architectural drawings, project specifications, and site measurements.
• Select suitable aluminum profiles, glazing, hardware, and accessories based on project requirements.
• Prepare material take-offs, cutting lists, and bills of materials.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to obtain technical approvals and resolve design comments.
• Ensure designs account for drainage, weatherproofing, thermal movement, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate with structural engineers on calculations and fixing details where required.
• Provide technical support to estimation, production, and site installation teams.
• Update drawings following approved changes and prepare as-built documentation.
• Maintain drawing revisions and accurate technical records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience designing aluminum windows, doors, and curtain wall systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of aluminum profiles, glazing systems, hardware, and fabrication methods.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and project specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Experience with aluminum fabrication software is an advantage.
