Design / Estimator- Energy Sector

Scanpower Contracting is looking for an experienced Electrical Designer/Estimator to join our Feilding-based team.

In this role, you will prepare practical and accurate designs and cost estimates for overhead and underground electrical distribution projects. You will ensure designs are fit for purpose, meet legislative and safety requirements, and are completed within agreed timeframes and budgets.

Using systems such as Neara, AutoCAD and ColdNet, you will work closely with customers, network owners and field teams to obtain approvals, manage design revisions and accommodate changes throughout the project.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience in electrical distribution design, estimating, network construction or a similar technical role
• Practical knowledge of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems
• The ability to prepare accurate designs, estimates and project documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, network owners and field teams
• Good organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety

Experience with Neara, ColdNet, CATAN, CAD or GPS equipment would be beneficial, but training may be available for the right person.
