Design Intern

Role & responsibilities

As a Design Intern at Livspace, youll get hands-on exposure to the complete residential interior design journey and work alongside experienced Interior Designers.

• Assist Interior Designers in developing residential interior design concepts and layouts.
• Support the creation of floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, and design presentations.
• Assist with modular kitchen, wardrobe, living room, bedroom, and other residential spaces.
• Participate in client discussions to understand their requirements, preferences, lifestyle, and budget.
• Support designers in preparing mood boards, material selections, colour palettes, and design presentations.
• Gain exposure to Livspace's design process, products, materials, and modular solutions.
• Coordinate with designers and other teams to understand how a project moves from design to execution.
• Assist in making design revisions based on client feedback.
• Visit Experience Centres, project sites, or vendor locations when required to gain practical exposure.
• Maintain project-related design documentation and ensure design details are accurately captured.
• Stay updated with current interior design trends, materials, finishes, and space-planning techniques.

Preferred candidate profile

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of residential interior design and space planning.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Photoshop, Canva, or other design tools will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of design principles, colours, materials, furniture, and finishes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-first approach and ability to understand client requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with designers and cross-functional teams.
