Essential Roles And Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of fire protection and life safety systems for onsite projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project teams to develop tailored fire safety solutions that meet project requirements and safety objectives.
• Oversee the preparation of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Manage and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify design implementation and adherence to safety standards.
• Stay current with industry advancements, codes, and regulations related to fire protection and life safety systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and support staff.

Requirements Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing fire protection and life safety systems, preferably within the onsite or industrial sector.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA 13, local codes).
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, AutoSPRINK, Revit, or similar tools.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.

Certifications and Licenses

• AutoCAD/design software training
• Valid NC Driver’s License required.
• NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level III or IV
• NICET Water-Based Systems Layout Level III or IV
