Design Manager (Licensed Architect)

1. Store Design & Brand Alignment:

a. Lead the conceptualization and execution of store designs, ensuring alignment with global brand identity

b. Develop store layouts and design elements that enhance functionality and customer experience

c. Adapt international design guidelines to fit local market requirements without compromising brand integrity

2. Project Management & Execution:

a. Oversee the end-to-end design process, from schematics to concept development to permit and construction drawings

b. Coordinate with the designers, trade engineers and project superintendents to ensure design is maintained

c. Manage design timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure cost-effective and timely completion

3. Cross-functional Collaboration:

a. Work closely with franchise partners, marketing and operations, to align store designs with business objectives

b. Present design proposals and obtain approvals from key stakeholders

c. Conduct site visits and provide guidance to ensure quality execution

4. Innovation & Trends:

a. Stay updated on retail trends, customer behavior, and technological advancements

b. Recommend design improvements that enhance brand presence and operational efficiency

c. Implement sustainable and cost-effective design solutions

Qualifications:

• Licensed Architect
• Minimum 10 years of experience in store design or retail architecture
• Strong knowledge of branding, space planning, and retail experience design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3d rendering software is desired
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple store designs simultaneously
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with international brands or franchise businesses is a plus
