Design Officer

Responsible in the maintaining the design standards of the mall through establishing design requirements and reviewing proposed design concepts in accordance of the business standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

MALL DESIGN - establish project requirements, scope of work, project budget and schedule; propose design concepts that will characterize the aesthetic intent of the project; review with the Client and secure approval; develop approved design concept and prepare drawings, list of materials and specifications; prepare documents for construction; ensure regulatory compliance of design; identify and invite qualified contractors to bid; conduct pre-procurement and pre-bid meetings and receive bids and recommend award of contract; coordinate and inspect contractors’ work to ensure that the project is being built according to design; provide in-field changes to the plan to address an unforeseen condition; prepare a punch list of pending construction deficiencies; guarantee quality of Contractors’ works and certify project completion

MALL HOUSEKEEPING - ensure that the mall features and mall area finishes are in good condition and inspected according to EDD standards; recommend mall areas for restoration or renovation

MALL FACILITIES MANAGEMENT - assist BAO, when necessary, in the evaluation of Vendors’ bids and recommend award of contract for regular or routine repairs and maintenance works; guarantee quality of Contractors’ works and certify project completion for regular or routine repairs and maintenance works

TENANT RELATIONS - review of Tenants’ plans within the 3-meter design review zone

SAFETY AND SECURITY - implement safety features of the mall in accordance to the National Building Code; assess and recommend repairs that are necessary to either eliminate a safety issue or to prevent extensive building damage

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• With at least 2 years of experience in Architectural industry
• Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Registered Architect; knowledgeable in using Autocad
