Through this experience, Garver understands the complexities of airport systems held together by runways, taxiways, aprons, and roadways that need to work in tandem to accommodate daily needs for travel and transport. As part of Garver’s commitment to continued innovation in airport design, our Aviation Design Center is dedicated to providing the expertise and leadership to assist our clients in meeting both current and future needs.

As part of the Aviation Design Center (ADC) in Fayetteville, AR, the Design Resource Technician will be responsible for developing and maintaining design resources and CAD standards for Garver’s Aviation Business Line and will provide technical and design support as required for a variety of projects related primarily to developing civil and electrical engineering designs and drawings for airport projects, including improvements to runways, taxiways, aprons, hangars, fuel farms, parking areas, terminal buildings, and other airport construction-related projects.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Providing training and troubleshooting for Autodesk Civil 3D
• Developing and maintaining templates and details for use in plan production
• Quality program compliance: ensuring consistent delivery of quality products that adhere to Garver’s standard
• Civil standards and tools development, procurement, and training

Candidates must have the ability to perform the following routine functions:

• Accurately complete drawings based on markups and detailed direction
• Able to adapt to frequently changing schedules and deadlines
• Collaborate with a diverse team of multiple engineering disciplines to meet their technological needs
• Analyze processes for efficiency and opportunity for improvement

Requirements:

• Minimum two years’ experience using Autodesk software, including Autocad and Civil 3D
• High school diploma
• Some travel may be required

Preferred Skills:

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Experience using Bluebeam and MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Outlook
• Strong teaching and coaching skills
